My goal is to help clients create long term health & happiness by helping them feel better in their bodies and find a higher purpose. I use movement, nutrition, massage, meditative practices & creative outlets such as dance, art and literature to achieve healing of body, mind & spirit.

Transform-Her Yoga is a feminine reclamation—an embodied ritual designed to alchemize shame, guilt, sadness, and anger into self-love, power, and liberation.

This is not just a class—it’s a calling. A trauma-informed, soul-centered experience guided by facilitators who specialize in working with women in recovery and survivors of human trafficking. These women know how to hold the weight of your story and help you move it through your body—safely and sacredly.

 What to expect:
 Soulful Yoga to reconnect and empower
 Breathwork to awaken life force and calm the nervous system
 Qigong to move stuck energy and restore balance
 Visualization to activate inner light and possibility
 A closing Sound Bath to seal your transformation in frequency and rest

Hybrid Online & In Person Course

A Comprehensive Mindful Fitness Program

This course contains 9 weekly 90 minute online only classes and 3 two hour in person classes.  The online class is held from 7 to 830pm on Tuesday nights. These classes consist of a 1 hour powerpoint lecture with discussion as well as a 20 minute visualization and breath work practice, with time for sharing to close the class.

The 3 in person classes will be practice based using gentle movement and meditation practices such as yoga, qigong, corrective exercise and gentle neuromuscular training.
 
Below is an overview for each module: 

7 Keys to Vitality:
We will discuss what “health” means to each of us and learn about practices that can help us feel more vital. We will talk about self care, what it means to love ourselves and explore practices that can help us feel more connected to our sense of self.
 
Sustainable Movement
Creating a sustainable movement program that will support you for years to come will be the focus.  We will talk about what types of movement feel supportive to each person and learn gentle forms of movement that can help us feel better in our bodies
 
Food As Medicine
We will talk about our relationship with food and ways we can use food to better support our health. We will learn that there is no “right” diet. Our week-to-week dietary needs are ever changing, just like life is.  Factors such as genetics, ancestral history, stress levels, sensitivities, immune status and daily movement all play a role in determining what foods will be most supportive for us. 
 
Breath is Life
In as little as 45 to 60 seconds of conscious breathing, we can dissolve stress and increase our energy vibration. Breathing exercises can help rid the lungs of accumulated stale air, increase oxygen levels, strengthen the diaphragm and create relaxation in the nervous system. In this module, we will explore different breath practices and talk about the relationship between breath and the nervous system
  
 
The Power of Thoughts
In order for us to change our reality we have to change the stories we tell ourselves. This module will focus on how the thoughts and stories we have, help shape our current reality.  We will look at the role of thoughts and emotions on our health and learn strategies to align our thoughts in healthier ways. 
 
Creating Connection
Learn about the many benefits having a sense of connection can have on our lives.  We will discuss the effects and importance of having a sense of connection to ourselves, our community, the earth and God (or your understanding of divine source energy; each person’s spiritual belief is welcomed and respected).

Ecstatic Dance OKC

Zen Zone at Mind and Body Fitness Connections has partnered with Ecstatic Dance OKC. If you are looking for a spiritual community who uses music and dance to heal, grow and support one another this is your group.

The monthly "Ecstatic Dance" is a spiritual experience on a bigger level. Combining free-style dancing with a different theme each month and some Qigong meditation thrown in to help align everyone with the same goal. — John
