Poem Inspired by the Wonders of Life

How do I express the things that I feel
When for so long they’ve been drown
By things that conceal

Burried deep in this heart
The chains are unlocked
Compassion, love and life may start

Anger, hurt and shame
The only feelings I have for so long embraced
Are now driven away by
Forgiveness, compassion, and grace

When all falls away,
When all is lost
What remains is the beauty
For which Christ’s blood was the cost.
